Creating the Artwork.
It all begins with an idea. Perhaps developing into a theme. Or maybe the artist has a creative project to pursue and engage with. Whatever it is, the joy is in the painting of it and at the end sharing it with the viewer and the world at large. In these paintings I create original paintings in acrylic on stretched canvas of landscapes, seascapes and other subjects particularly around the British coast.

'Arne Sunset'. Acrylic on framed canvas. 20ins x 8ins (51cms x 20cms). £155.00. This painting was inspired by the BBC TV Springwatch series, which featured this very same view.
'Kite surfing in the Bay'. Acrylic on framed canvas. 17ins x 11ins (43cms x 28cms) (SOLD). My son in law is a keen Kite Surfer. He frequently surfs in Studland Bay near Swanage, which often has perfect conditions for this exciting sport.

'Resting'. Acrylic on framed canvas. 30ins x 12ins. (76cms x 30cms). £225 So many stories are attached to old weatherworn boats lying on the sea shore. I enjoyed painting paint this one! It features a textured beach. (Fine Art Giclee Print available)

'Winter sunshine.' Acrylic on framed canvas. 20ins x 16ins (51cms x 41cms). £175 When not beside the sea, I love mountains, especially covered in snow!
' A woodland waterfall.' Acrylic on framed canvas. 16ins x 11.5ins. £170 A lovely, quiet wooded valley near Sherbourne, Dorset was the location for this painting. 16ins x 12ins (41cms x 30cms).
'Sunshine in the Woodland.' Acrylic on framed canvas. 16ins x 14ins (41cms x 36cms) £170. A spring walk in Dorset with a retired Doctor friend of mine led me to these woods. Some trees had recently been felled and the smell of the cut wood was lovely.

'Old Harry Rocks and Ship, Dorset'. Acrylic on stretched canvas. 18ins x 14ins. (46cms x 36cms) £180 I love old sailing ships and saw this one sailing past the famous rocks at Handfast Point, Swanage, Dorset. It was a memorable sight that I had to paint from a photograph.
'Trees in the Sunlit Snow'. Acrylic on stretched canvas. 20ins x 16ins (51cms x 41cms) £185. The essence of a cold, bright Winter's day. This was taken from a photograph during a walk in Bedfordshire.
'The Rocks at Pevril Point ,Dorset'. Acrylic on stretched canvas. 20ins x 16ins. (51cms 41cms) £185 My favourite location for watching the tidal race in Swanage, Dorset, beneath the Coastguard Station.
'Dancing in the Moonlight'. Acrylic on stretched canvas. 17ins x 11ins). (43cms x 28cms). £155 A painting of a red moon rising over the famous 'Old Harry Rocks' near Swanage, Dorset. A pair of Dolphins are leaping over the waves. A common sight along this coastline.
