Gallery 3 (Abstracts)
Abstract Landscape and Seascape paintings in Acrylic.
These paintings occupy a different space in my practice — one where strict representation gives way to mood, texture, and suggestion. Working abstractly allows me to explore what a landscape or seascape feels like rather than simply what it looks like: the immensity of a mountain range reduced to planes of light and shadow, the point where a coastline dissolves into sea and sky.
This is a smaller and more experimental part of my work, but one I find genuinely exciting. The two paintings currently in this gallery —— Mountains in Relief, inspired by the Lake District, and Land Meets Sea, evoking the Aegean coast of Turkey —— represent an ongoing enquiry into how much can be communicated through colour, form, and surface alone.
All works are avalable for purchase from the Art Shop.
If abstract Landscape and Seascpe paintings interests you, or if you would like to commission an abstract work for a specific space or palette, I would be very happy to discuss your ideas via the Contact page.
